“Improvement of sports facilities around the Geumho River” Daegu Dong-gu, Jijeo Dunchi Sports Facility opens

[대구=뉴시스]Reporter Jeong Jae-ik = Dong-gu, Daegu City announced on the 2nd that it transformed the Jijeo Dunchi Sports Facility and established a new Dodong Sports Complex.

Jijeo Dunchi Sports Facility was opened by improving the existing outdated facilities along the Geumho River in Bullo-dong.

The area is 15,481㎡, and the facility is made up of artificial turf throughout.

Major facilities include one soccer field, three foot volleyball courts, and an 8-hole ground golf course. The soccer field and foot volleyball field have lighting towers installed so they can be used even at night.

Dodong Sports Complex was built on 12,945㎡ of unused land under a highway bridge in the Dodong area.

The main facilities consist of artificial turf, including two tennis courts, two badminton courts, one futsal court, and one foot volleyball court.

To use the soccer field, tennis court, futsal court, and foot volleyball court, a reservation is required through the Dong-gu Office website or by phone. The badminton court and ground golf course can be used freely without reservation.

Seok-Jun Yoon, Dong-gu Mayor, said, “Now that the sports infrastructure has been expanded, I hope that all residents will be able to enjoy both health and fun.”
