Badminton: District Championships 019: Luisa Ducrée qualified for the West German Championships

On November 30th The district championships took place in all four NRW districts on December 1st and December 1st, 2024. These are also the last qualification opportunity for the West German Championships O19 in January in Lüdinghausen. This time the host for the Nord 1 association was Gladbecker FC.

The qualification was successful Luisa Ducree from TSV Heimaterde with her fourth place in the women’s singles. In her Group A she came second behind eventual winner Kim Vivien Weiß. Your duels against Sahra Buß (SV Hamminkeln//21-6, 21-4); Luisa was able to win relatively easily over Anna-Maria Chroscinski (TV Datteln // 21-16, 21-10) and Nicole Lilienbecker (1. Essener BC // 21-11, 21-18). In the following game for third place, she lost to Eva-Maria Tembrink from ATV Haltern in the extra set with 21-19, 18-21 and 10-21.

The TSV women’s doubles failed with their 5th place Pia Mölder/Eileen Pfeil the qualification for the WDM was only just. In the quarterfinals, the two had to bow to the top seeded pairing Isabel Kleban/Lena Seibert (Gladbecker FC) with 16-21 and 15-21. This was followed by two wins over Alina Recio Jiminez (BC 89 Bottrop)/Hannah Siepmann (Tbd. Osterfeld) with 21-18, 22-20 and Svenja Meier (VfB GW Mülheim)/Mandy Zängerele (TV Datteln) with 21-12, 21-11.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for the two other actors from home earth either. Marko Basic with Finn Nathow (TV Datteln) reached places 9-12 and Laksan Gnanaranjan with Martin Gauk (VfB GW Mülheim) ended up 13-18.
