With a starter absent this Sunday evening, the Lakers faced the Jazz with a new major 5. But fans clearly don’t agree with JJ Redick’s decision… even though the franchise ended up with the victory.
In the tough with 4 defeats in 5 games, the Lakers clearly needed to reassure themselves this Sunday evening. JJ Redick’s men faced the Jazz, one of the worst teams in the NBA currently with their record of 4 wins for 15 losses. We reassure the fans, the job is done, with a success with a score of 105-104.
No, it wasn’t easy with an ugly 2/10 shooting for Dalton Knecht, while LeBron James dropped a 0/9 three-pointer. A nice scare for the Angelinos, but the players and supporters will remember the victory above all before looking towards the next events. Additionally, Redick took a risk with a new 5 major for the Lakers.
Fans angry with Lakers change
It must be said that the coach didn’t really have a choice. His rotation already limited, Austin Reaves was also absent for this meeting, injured. Redick therefore placed Gabe Vincent in the 5 major, he who has never managed to find his place since his signing last year. He is also hated by a lot of supporters.

With several players absent, Redick had to make choices, even if he could have put Max Christie in the major 5 instead. But the fact is that Vincent finally did the job in 32 minutes of play. His statistics? 10 points at 4/5 shooting, in addition to 3 rebounds and 2 assists. However, it will take more to have the trust of the fans.
Gabe Vincent in the 5 major? JJ Redick had confidence in his player, despite very difficult weeks. The person finally did the job, and with a victory at the end. But that’s the only thing to remember.
