Thaily Sofía Molina wins gold in the Pan American Judo

Cuba, November 29 (InZoom.mx).– The athlete originally from Tulum, Thaily Sofía Molina, made history by becoming the first judoka from Quintana Roo to obtain a gold medal in the Pan American Under-13 and Under-15 Championships, held in Varadero

In an exciting final in the U-13 category, division of less than 47 kilograms, Thaily Sofía demonstrated her superiority by defeating the Ecuadorian Laila Paredes.

With this victory, the young woman from Quintana Roo not only became Pan-American champion, but also positioned herself as number one in her division at the national level.

To achieve this triumph, Thaily Sofía has worked hard under the guidance of teacher Marta Domínguez Ramos in Tulum, in coordination with the technical director of judo in Quintana Roo, Dayma Beltrán. His dedication and talent allowed him to overcome high-level rivals, such as Arislemi Molina of Cuba, Hevellen Silva of Brazil and Aitana Molina of Cuba.

In addition to Thaily Sofía, three other judokas from Quintana Roo participated in this international competition. Maximiliano Vázquez achieved fifth place in his division, and Dylan Itza and César Santamaría reached the repechage phase.

Thaily Sofía Molina’s gold medal shows that with dedication, talent and the right support, it is possible to achieve great goals.
