RECANATI – Successful coupling, Svethia Recanati overtakes Italservice Pesaro and regains the top despite cohabiting with the same team from Pesaro, Ozzano and Matelica. Recanati gets off to a better start, two points from Pozzetti and a bomb from Fontana for the initial 5-0 which warms up the PalaCingolani-Pierini. Two baskets by Urbutis (12-4) force coach Ceccarelli to take a time out which bears fruit because with a 6-0 run Italservice returns to -2 (12-10). With Urbutis returning after the stoppage seven days ago and an inspired Fontana, Svethia finished ahead by 7 at the first siren (23-16).
However, the first important change in the match came at the beginning of the second set: Clementoni, a triple from Magrini and three bombs from Zomero who came off the bench very hot and caused the PalaCingolaniPierini to explode. In an amen leopardiani at +18 (37-19) and Italservice in total confusion. Delfino tries to charge his team but it is yet another triple this time signed by Simone Pozzetti that gives the yellow and blue the maximum advantage (43-21). Coach Di Chiara also throws Andreani into the fray, after the +9 signed by Urbutis it is Gulini again who brings his team back into contact (54-48). 4 consecutive points from Gurini and Clementoni allow the gialloblu to regain a double-digit lead (58-48) but it is still a wild Santucci who pushes Pesaro back (60-56 in the 30th minute).
Vibrant and intense last quarter, Andreani enters the game for +8 Svethia (64-56) which however does not extinguish the ambitions of the guests led by an irrepressible Santucci. 5’24” from the siren Italservice at -2 (66-64). Urbutis in the paint is a factor, Gurini’s bomb with 1’30” on the clock from a decisive shoulder to the match, Tognacci from the average for the new -4 Loreto (74-70) but it is still Gurini who extends to +6 ( 76-70). Pesaro no longer has any and Svethia closes 80-73 with Magrini and Pozzetti who are glacial from the charity line.
The return round started in the best way, now for Andreani and his teammates another internal commitment with Tasp Teramo. It is imperative not to let your guard down.
