Monti Lattari, Crepet and Giordano Park: Here from the Royal Palace to Agerola are places of well-being – President Peluso: Territory of incredible biodiversity

Crepet, Giordano and Maddaloni testimonials of the Lattari Mountains at the Quisisana Palace in Castellammare: “Here are the places of physical and psychological well-being”.

The Lattari Mountains, with its paths, its open spaces and the variety of typical products: an ideal place to cultivate psychological and physical well-being and stay healthy.
This is the meaning of the conference held in the Quisisana Palace in Castellammare di Stabia promoted by the Monti Lattari Regional Park, which has had a new president since last summer. This is Enzo Peluso, manager of the insurance and financial sector, who promoted the meeting to “put the territory of the Lattari Mountains at the center of the debate on tourist and cultural valorisation and bring the new generations closer to sport and well-being through the resources of the Park area”.
Talking about sport and well-being (but also about typical products), some exceptional testimonials: the psychiatrist Paolo Crepet, the former Italian champion footballer with Maradona’s Napoli, Bruno Giordano, and the judo master Giovanni Maddoloni. The mayors of the Park were present (there was also the intervention of Domenico Amatruda, president of the Assembly of the Community of the Regional Park of the Lattari Mountains and the mayor of Castellammare di Stabia Luigi Vicinanza) and the students of some high schools in Stabia. Crepet in particular focused on the education of the new generations, underlining that “they must be taught to be autonomous, to detach themselves from the smartphone and to appreciate their territory, so rich in beauty. These are suitable places to get your brain moving again.”
Giordano and Maddaloni also spoke about sport that educates and about the need to do sporting activities in the open area, taking advantage of the beauty of the Lattari Mountains. Furthermore, with a view to promoting the Park itself, a new app on trails and a promotional brochure for the area was also presented.
The institutional interventions are also important, with the vice-president of Campaia Fulvio Bonavitacola who highlighted the work carried out by the Region to support the regional parks. Also present were deputies Benedetto Della Vedova and Piero De Luca. After the break with tasting of the typical products of the Monti Lattari Park, the event continued with a first focus on “Trekking and hiking: sport between nature and culture”, curated by Michele Inserra, and a second entitled “The physical and psychological well-being: experts in comparison”, during which medical sector experts such as Luigi Nunziata (Cardiologist), Amedeo Cecere (Gastroenterologist), Vincenzo Monda (Dietician), Raffaele Iaccarino (Expert in motor sciences).
“The Monti Lattari regional park has always been an area that offers incredible richness in terms of biodiversity, traditions and opportunities for outdoor sports. Our mountains and hills, which overlook the Gulf of Naples, are a natural stage for sports such as trekking, mountain biking, running and much more. Practicing physical activity in these places is not only a way to keep the body healthy, but also to come into contact with nature, breathe clean air and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us”, underlined Peluso.
