On Sunday November 24, the Judo Club of Saint-Astier (24) hosted its traditional winter tournament, where nearly thirty judokas from the Judo Club Pellegruen were present.
First meeting for these young people
The youngest judokas, registered in the Awakening-Judo category, took part in a friendly event, where everyone was rewarded for their participation. Among them, Annélia, Elena, Lola, Adriano, Liam and Mohamed Ali discovered the spirit of competition and interacted with young people from other clubs.
Great performances
The competition continued with the Benjamins and the Minimes, where the Judo Club Pellegruen recorded good performances.
Among the Benjamins, Pauline, Gauthier and Timéo climbed to the highest step of the podium, while Ouna took 2nd place. Lisa and Lucas completed the picture by each winning a bronze medal.
For the Minimes, Adam won by taking 1st place and Anaïs brilliantly finished 2nd.
The Mini Poussins then took to the tatami mats, showing an excellent level of competition. Inya won 1st place, followed by Perrine, Zayane and Gabriel (2nd) and Yasmine and Jack (3rd). Martin, for his part, took 4th position.
The afternoon was marked by the performance of the Poussins. Ewen, for his first competition, won 1st place, while Louane, Etham and Pedro took the silver medal. Stéphanie, Dinis and Maëlic took 3rd place.
A reward for the club
Thanks to this large participation and the diversity of performances, the Judo Club Pellegrue won the trophy for best participation. A great reward for a club which continues to distinguish itself in the region.

Classes are open to all ages and levels, with slots adapted for each category. The times are as follows:

- Awakening Judo (born in 2019-2020): 4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Mini Chicks (born in 2017-2018) & Chicks (born in 2015-2016): 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Benjamins to Veterans (born in 2013 and before): 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Taïso & Self-defense (from 14 years old): 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Friday :
- Benjamins to Veterans (born in 2013 and before): 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
