THE VULTURES WIN REGULAR SERIES IN SC

SAN CRISTÓBAL.- The Buitres club won the regular series of the XXXIV Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS San Cristóbal 2024), with the victory over the Lobos de Canastica, 96-74, in the last game they played at the municipal sports center, in here.

The Buitres went 5-3 and will play the semifinal series A, at 3-2, against Avispones de Pueblo Nuevo (3-4), in fourth place, and it begins this Tuesday at 9:00 p.m.

Series B, also at 3-2, will face the Lobos and Laguneros of Madre Vieja Norte, both with 4-3, and will be in charge of the opening match at 7:20 at night.

GUACHUPITA EAGLES DOMINATE SERIES IN SD

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Águilas de Guachupita defeated the Cañeras de Pueblo Nuevo 67-63, in the semi-final series A of the XI National Superior Women’s Interclub Basketball Tournament, for the Seaboard Cup “Clean Energy”.

Sugey Monsac scored 23 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, Jennifer Jiménez 11 points and 10 catches, Mary Coronado 10 and Carola Hernández eight to put the series 2-0, at 3-2.

In the reverse, for Pueblo Nuevo, Marielis Aquino 21 points and Angie Hodge 11 and 12 rebounds.

In the semifinal B, at 3-2, the local Laguneras de San Cristóbal (1-0) defeated the Turistas del Este (0-1), 94-89, in the match held at the Yagüate sports center.

CLUB ANTONIO GUZMAN WINS IN HIGÜEY

HIGÜEY.- The Antonio Guzmán club achieved its second consecutive victory by beating the San Francisco club 83-69 this Sunday, in the continuation of the regular series of the 49th La Altagracia Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS Higüey 2024).

Antonio Guzmán 2-2, tied in the second with San José and Centro, 2.0 games behind the leaders of Savica (4-0), after the meeting held at the Leo Tavárez sports center.

In the winning offensive, reinforcement Jared Ruiz stood out with 23 points and native José Castillo contributed 15 points, and for the defeated, Nahianh Carter 12 and Oscar Montero 10.

In another clash, the Cambelén club achieved its first victory in the TBS Higüey 2024 by defeating the San José club 94-87 on Sunday and tying with San Francisco, 1-3.

On offense, Nathanael Bonet scored 26 points and seven assists and Junior Fortuna helped with 16 points and eight rebounds, and for those who fell, Yovanny Del Rosario 27 and 26 rebounds.
