At the 11th St. Nicholas Tournament in Wattens, in which around 200 participants from Germany, Salzburg, Vorarlberg and Tyrol took part, the SVR Judo branch club was represented by 12 young athletes and was able to achieve considerable success.
REUTTE/WATTENS (eha). Particularly noteworthy are the impressive performances of Anna Rüttinger, Marie Woller and Vanessa, who each took first place in their categories. Anna prevailed with confident early victories, while Marie, even though she is still a beginner, was unbeatable that day. Vanessa fought for the top spot on the podium for the first time and crowned her effort with gold.
Jonas Eigler also showed his skills and achieved an excellent second place, with his technique already showing promising approaches. Moritz Breithuber secured the bronze medal in his second tournament thanks to his great fighting spirit. Katharina Kollermann-Steskal, who surprised everyone in her first competition and also came third with a strong will to win, was equally successful.
Natty Hudec and Tobias Eigler showed further great performances, both of whom took fourth place and recorded important individual victories. For Cecilia Mott, who was on the competition mat for the first time, as well as Matoush and Jonas, it was a valuable opportunity to gain their first fighting experience.
