As with the significant defeat at Red Star Belgrade (77:101) last week, the Munich team had big problems on defense. Anadolu repeatedly had easy opportunities at the basket and offensive rebounds.
The outstanding Devin Booker kept Bayern in the game with many points. In the third quarter, the German champions were able to reduce the deficit, which was now at 16 points, to one point thanks to numerous actions by national player Nick Weiler-Babb.
In the final section, Munich’s problems in defense increased again. There were also a few ball losses in important moments.
While the Bundesliga basketball club has won each of its six home games in the Euroleague, the away record looks different: the Munich team only won two of their seven games in foreign halls.
