Within the scope of Disabled People’s Week events in Kayseri, the Physically Disabled Sports Club Wheelchair Basketball Team and the principals of public institutions played a basketball match. Family and Social Services Provincial Director Arzu Çıngır stated that they came together to have a fun time in the program held at Talas Indoor Sports Hall. Stating that they want to raise awareness with their event, Çıngır said that, as the ministry, they carry out studies on the adaptation of disabled people to social life, their participation in the workforce and their rehabilitation. After the speech, İstikbal Young people under protection and care at the Care Rehabilitation and Family Counseling Center Directorate performed folk dances and dance shows. Within the scope of the event, Physically Disabled Sports Club Wheelchair Basketball Team, Deputy Governor Şemseddin Erkaya, Provincial Health Director Mehmet Erşan, AFAD Provincial Director Rifat Genç, Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation Director Mahmut Kök and Deputy Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Ahmet Emin Keleş. The Wheelchair Basketball Team won the competition 8-2, in which the managers of the institution participated in wheelchairs. Deputy Governor Erkaya presented a cup to the Wheelchair Basketball Team, which was happy to win. Talas District Governor Yaşar Dönmez, Provincial Police Chief Atanur Aydın and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ali İhsan Kabakcı, who attended the event, also presented medals to the players.
