Badminton is a popular sport that promotes general motor skills in a fun and safe way. The kickback game requires little space and no expensive equipment. Whether in the garden, in the exercise room or in a hall – badminton can be played and learned anywhere. It enables experiences of success for all ages and different levels.

The aim of the training is to get practical ideas on how badminton can be playfully integrated into exercise units. The training is aimed at interested elementary school teachers who want to use badminton in an attractive and targeted manner with lots of fun and games.

  • Practical ideas for motor skills courses
  • Correct throwing is learned in a playful way and in the next step hitting with balloons and various balls is practiced
  • Introduction to basic technical content, such as the correct racket position
  • Carrying out simple competitions and games

Oliwia Zimniewska: She is the junior state coach of the Vorarlberg Badminton Association and is responsible for identifying talent in the state association and kiddies training.

Elisabeth Obernosterer: She is a former Austrian badminton player, Olympian (2016) and multiple national champion.
