Badminton – Strong participation and great fun at the parent-child tournament in the Comenius Hall
After the hunt for ranking and table points in the last few weeks, a special kind of tournament took place on Sunday evening in the Bremthal Comeniushalle. Around 40 children and their parents came together to compete with each other in various configurations and costumes and, above all, to have a lot of fun. First, the family teams played against each other, then there was a lively draw and they played in a completely new composition, each lasting 10 minutes. In the meantime, the participants were able to fortify themselves at a colorful buffet with sausages, salads and cakes and prepare for the new round. Everyone played a total of 5 games. Tournament director Volker Schulze came up with an additional difficulty by giving the winners of each game an additional piece of clothing as a handicap for the next game. The new pairs then faced each other in the next round wearing diving goggles or oversized hats, which made for a particularly funny picture. The end of an entertaining evening was a small award ceremony for the families who were able to collect the most points.
