Games room and playing times
- The tournament will be played on 20 courts in the Bijenbest sports hall, Prinses Beatrixlaan 27 in Best
- Tournament day: Saturday January 4, 2025 from 9:00 AM to +/- 7:00 PM.
Eligibility to play
All members of Badminton Netherlands, HBB, BWF or an organization affiliated with the BWF are entitled to participate.
There are 5 age categories:
Youth U18 born in 2007 or later, (nylon) or playing at level A & B
Youth U15 born in 2010 or later, (nylon) or playing at level C & D
Youth U13 born in 2012 or later, (nylon) or playing at Gold level
Youth U11 born in 2014 or later, or playing at Silver level
Youth U9 born in 2016 or later, or playing at Bronze/Badminiton level
Competition system
- The tournament is in principle played according to a group elimination system.
- When a best number two has to be calculated, the balance of the games will be taken into account and, in the event of a tie, the balance of points will be taken into account. The number of matches played is equalized by canceling the result against the bottom team in the group.
In the event of a tie in the games and points, an additional game will be played between the relevant players.
Parts to play
In U9 we play: singles and doubles.
In U11 the games are played: boys’ singles, girls’ singles, doubles.
In the U9/U11 doubles, duos may be formed in the form: girl-girl, boy-boy or boy-girl.
The games are played in U13, U15 and U18: boys’ singles, girls’ singles, boys’ doubles and girls’ doubles.
In the age category U13 or higher you can choose between Nylon or Feathers.
Players from badminton schools, badminton academies, etc. are required to register in a Veren category.
Registration and payment
- The tournament fee for U9, U11, U13, U15 and U18 is €15 for 1 part (INCLUDING CONSUMPTION Voucher) and €23 for 2 parts (INCLUDING CONSUMPTION Voucher).
- A €2 discount is given when paying in advance. When transferring the tournament money, you pay €13 for 1 part and €21 for 2 parts.
- The registration fee for the tournament can be transferred to IBAN account no. NL 07 RABO 0107 0257 52 (RABONL2U) in the name of BC Alouette in Best, stating Start-Best 2025 + name (or names).
