When that day comes, Swift will likely try to accept Ed and Kelce’s mother Donna as her in-laws, but in keeping with Ed’s philosophy, she won’t expect any fancy gifts from either parent.
Ed has a career in the steel industry but has a military background.

Ed did not join the military because he had a pre-existing knee injury. He joined the Coast Guard but had to leave training camp after it was discovered he had Crohn’s disease.
After joining the steel industry, Ed brought his sons Travis and Jason to work with him in the mill to show them what the work was like.
