Last E-ranking list of the year for our young people in Offenbach Today (singles) and tomorrow (doubles)…
With many players absent, many games could not be played.
We had registered 5 players for BVG Goldbach/Laufach.
Jamiro Winter, who made his debut in the U13 class, unfortunately couldn’t win a game, but did well by almost leveling with his much taller opponent in the last set. He has certainly gained a lot of experience for the next times.
In the U15, Mads Hartig and Maximilian Pfarr “benefited” from a few absences to move straight into the third round, but had to admit defeat and finished the tournament in a respectable 13th place. Special praise goes to Mads, who played despite pain in his foot End of the game fought until the end!
Tim Schleinitz, on the other hand, had too strong an opponent in the first round and was able to take revenge in the next round with a 21-1 set win, but in the end it was only enough for 33rd place.
Finally, Julian Rimmel, who played in the main draw, had problems finding his rhythm in his first set, but then lost in the second set 22-20 in a nice duel against a seeded player… However, he ended up finishing in a very good fifth place and inflicted a heavy defeat on an opponent he had already played against in the past.
Tomorrow Mads and Maximilian will play doubles. Good luck !!!
