The body of Valerio Pacetto, the 17-year-old who died last Friday in Catania, where he was hospitalized following a serious road accident that occurred last August 20th in Scicli, in c.da Balatelle, has not yet been delivered.
At first the funeral was scheduled for Monday the 16th, but then postponed to a date to be determined.. The body is still in Catania.
Valerio fought between life and death for 4 months, hospitalized at the Catania Polyclinic.
When the tragic accident occurred Valerio was traveling on his scooter and was returning home; the collision between the scooter and a car driven by another young man from Scicli. He would have been hit, the driver of the car would not have noticed the presence of the scooter. However, the investigations and the subsequent judicial proceedings will clarify the dynamics of the fatal accident and assign any responsibilities. The minor’s condition immediately appeared critical, so much so that he required hospitalization in Catania.
For four months, the entire city of Scicli hoped for its recovery, uniting in the pain of the Pacetto family, well known and respected in the community. Unfortunately, prayers and affection were not enough to avoid the tragic epilogue.
