Josh Allen is not human and the Bills win

Facing the best team in the NFL since the start of the season, the Bills showed that they were also in the conversation by surprising the Lions thanks to a Josh Allen who is clearly not from our world.

The Lions destroyed everything in their path with only one defeat in 13 games before this shock against the Bills, who were recovering from an unexpected defeat against the Rams last week.

In that loss, the Bills’ defense was so exposed by the Rams that observers all but forgot that their offense could hurt anyone.

On this subject, it is high time that the NFL launches a rigorous investigation, to determine once and for all if Josh Allen comes from a secret laboratory with the mission to exterminate all traces of humanity. At least, on the football fields, anyway…

Abnormal things

Attack fans and those who like when defense is optional must have come close to orgasmic sensations.

This duel between Bills and Lions resulted in 90 points, 58 first downs, 835 passing yards between Allen and Lions quarterback Jared Goff and 1,080 total yards. Take out your video game consoles, set the opposition level to the easiest and you won’t get such excess!

Allen, with 362 yards through the air and two touchdowns, in addition to 68 yards on the ground and two other touchdowns, took control of the game, with some of his typical disheveled passes, against the grain.

Everything, but really everything worked for the Bills, who attacked the game by building a quick 14-0 lead.

Running back James Cook also contributed to the effort with 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including one on a spectacular 41-yard burst, but the highlight of the show was Allen.

He became the first quarterback in history with at least 35 touchdowns (combining passing and rushing) in four straight seasons. It was his sixth career game with at least two touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns, which allowed him to add to the record he himself set last week.

A dominant attack

Of course, there are questions to be asked about the Bills defense, which just gave up more than 40 points in a second straight game. However, this is not their habit and it must be remembered that three starters in the tertiary sector were absent. Against the Lions, it’s not forgiving.

Offensively, though, everything clicks. The Bills became just the fifth team in history to score at least 30 points in eight straight games and the first since the 2013 Broncos.

It is true that the Lions’ defense is hampered by injuries, but this defense still reconnected with a few players, including four on the defensive line.

We all know now that for Allen, no matter how superhuman his statistics are in the regular season, it’s his performance in the playoffs that will be on everyone’s lips. He’s the first to know it and that’s why we haven’t seen him get too excited after the Bills’ victories this season against the Chiefs and the Lions.

However, what he is doing right now is scientifically inexplicable. He has 25 touchdown passes and just five interceptions, in addition to 11 rushing touchdowns. We’re talking about 68% of the total number of touchdowns produced by the Bills offense coming from Allen. Take the time to grasp this ridiculous statistic!

Yes, the secret services absolutely must find out which laboratory or which galaxy Josh Allen comes from.

5 KEY MOMENTS

1) The Chiefs hold their breath

In the fourth quarter of an uneventful game against the Browns, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was injured and had to leave the field. He is reported to have suffered a sprained ankle and his situation will be evaluated this week. There are only three games left in the regular schedule and for the moment, it is impossible to know if the Chiefs will have to turn to their reserve, Carson Wentz. Mahomes was injured when his leg came under the weight of tackle Dalvin Tomlinson after a pass attempt. He was hit 12 times in the duel.

2) A very big boy…

Even though the Titans lost, one of the plays that stood out the most came from their rookie big tackle, T’Vondre Sweat. On a quarterback sack, Harold Landry made Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow lose the ball. Sweat took the ball back and ran 30 yards like his life depended on it. Why highlight this game? Because Mr. Sweat is super imposing at 365 pounds and on his way, he literally knocked Alex Cappa over like a rag doll. Still, Cappa is not frail at 310 pounds. Quite impressive!

3) Failed rigged game

There are times when rigged games don’t fool anyone. The Colts experienced it the hard way by pulling one of these plays out of their loot bag in the fourth quarter, when they were only four points behind the Broncos. Quarterback Anthony Richardson threw a pass to receiver Adonai Mitchell and when Mitchell attempted to throw the ball back to Richardson at the other end of the field, outside linebacker Nik Bonitto stepped in to grab the ball. ball and bring it back 50 yards for the touchdown. The Broncos, at 9-5, are heading straight for the playoffs.

4) The Commanders survive

The Commanders were hot, very hot! Up 17-0 against the Saints, they seemed to be heading for a small, comfortable victory when the Saints came back on track after changing quarterback (Spencer Rattler in place of Jake Haener). With no time left on the board, Rattler connected with Foster Moreau for a touchdown that cut the Commanders’ lead to 20-19. Rather than the conversion kick, the Saints opted for a two-point convert and it It was their former cornerback Marshon Lattimore, whom they traded this fall, who made the whole thing fall apart. Karma!

5) The Eagles in control

The Eagles had a big test ahead of them when they hosted the Steelers and they showed they were certainly serious contenders by winning. The game really turned in their favor in the third quarter. They clung to a 20-13 lead, but the Steelers were advancing with the ball when a bad exchange between Russell Wilson and Najee Harris caused a fumble. The Eagles took the ball back and orchestrated a long drive of 13 plays for 74 yards for 6:33 until Jalen Hurts’ rushing touchdown. The latter had his best passing game this season with 291 yards and two touchdown passes.

WINNERS OF THE WEEK

1) Lamar Jackson

What an extraterrestrial performance, once again, from Lamar Jackson! The Ravens quarterback savagely dismantled the Giants with five touchdown passes. It was the fifth time in his career that he threw five touchdown passes with fewer than five incomplete passes.

2) Derek Stingley Jr

One of the people responsible for the Texans’ victory against the Dolphins was excellent cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. Mainly assigned to cover Tyreek Hill, he threw two interceptions, including the one that sealed the outcome in the fourth quarter. The Texans are officially division champions.

3) Davante Adams

STOP THE PRESSES, THE JETS WON! And their quarterback Aaron Rodgers shined with his ace receiver Davante Adams, who scored two touchdowns and gained 198 yards on nine receptions. The two will meet again next year, but where?

4) Mayfield et Evans

Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans were once again in symbiosis for the Buccaneers. The quarterback threw four touchdown passes, including two to his favorite receiver, who caught nine passes for 159 yards.

5) AJ Brown

Eagles receiver AJ Brown has been babbling lately because he doesn’t have enough of the ball, despite the Eagles’ repeated success. We’ll give it to him, he showed up in the big duel against the Steelers with eight catches for 110 yards and a touchdown.

LOSERS OF THE WEEK

1) Jameis Winston

We know that Jaimes Winston is an eternal merry-go-round, but the merry-go-round needs to lift more often. He had his third three-interception game this season and brought his total to 12 in eight starts.

2) Will Levis

Speaking of quarterbacks shooting themselves in the foot, Titans starter Will Levis was also the victim of three interceptions against the Bengals, in addition to committing a fumble. It becomes easier to believe in Santa Claus than in Levis as a starter.

3) Nick Chubb

Running back Nick Chubb, the heart and soul of the Browns, barely returned to the game a few weeks ago and now against the Chiefs he suffered a broken foot and will miss the rest of the season. After his terrible injury last season, the odds persist.

4) TJ Watt

Not only did the Steelers lose, but, at the end of the game, their quarterback hunter par excellence TJ Watt had to retire to the bench due to what appeared to be an ankle injury. Watt had two sacks and the Steelers cannot do without him.

5) The Chargers

It was a monumental 40-17 loss that the Chargers suffered against the Buccaneers. The dominant defense at the start of the season has been showing flaws lately.
