(Sitiawan News on the 16th) The fifth (2024) All-Perak Under-13 Wan Zi Keong Cup Inter-District Basketball Championship hosted by the Perak Basketball Federation Manjung Branch, after a week of competition, was won by the Manjung men’s and women’s teams. All championships were won, with the men’s team winning three consecutive championships, while the women’s team dominated for two consecutive years.
The event started on December 7 and lasted until yesterday at the Asdaka Stadium in Sitiawan, with 6 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams participating. At the closing ceremony held last night, the 15 primary male state players selected for the state team and the 12 female players selected for the primary state team were also announced.
Huang Shuxian, who delivered the closing speech on behalf of the Manjung branch president Xue Jincai, called on the players selected for the preliminary state players not to give up the rare training opportunity easily.
