Kenny Asano will be joining the Gunma Crane Thunders.
During his time at Senshu University, he contributed to the team’s victory by focusing on his role in all-around positions. In this year’s Kanto University Basketball League, he won two individual titles: Outstanding Player Award and 3P King.
There are two main things we expect from Asano.
The first is defense and 3-point shooting.
He can play defense with dedication, and we believe he will be an important piece in executing the defense we are aiming for. He also has one of the highest 3-point shooting abilities in the university world, and we believe he will be a catalyst for the offense.
The second is an attitude of pursuing victory.
He places the most importance on the team’s victory, shows leadership, and does everything he can to do what is asked of him. We believe that such an attitude of pursuing victory will not only help the team win, but will also contribute to realizing our club’s philosophy of “Heating up Gunma with basketball.”
We hope that he will join the Gunma Crane Thunders, grow even further, and become a representative player for Japan in the future.
