Hidalgo Sport.- Remembering is living and this is how Adriana Angeles Lozada, commented in a few minutes on her beginning and growth in judo from Hidalgo and Mexico, which maintains her as a legend of this sport and as an example for new generations.
Accompanied by her three children (two young ladies and a young boy) and by her husband at the presentation of the Sports Merit Award that bore her name, Adriana recalled her sports career with great emotion.
“I am very happy and grateful, I couldn’t imagine it after so many years. I started in judo when I was 11 years old and I made my way in national and international events, I went to the Central American, Pan American, World Cups, Olympic Games, University World Cups, I was able to experience all the judo events,” he recalled.
Without being able to contain his emotion, he added: “I remember a lot about my medal in the Pan American Games that gave me my ticket to the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and I am left with my debut in the Olympic Games, my coach told me that I made history, but I was focused on the competition that I had.”
“Zambotti (Vannessa) and Prisca Awiti) came after me, and Prisca already with a medal, happy that judo is becoming known and not being confused with other martial arts,” she added.
“Today I have a real estate company, I have been married for 20 years and have 3 children, I feel fulfilled and happy, grateful to the State Government and the Hidalgo Sports Institute, for taking me into account to be present at an event this magnitude,” said Adriana.
