The Badminton World Federation (BWF) posted Ahn Se-young’s interview video on its official YouTube channel on the 17th.

In an interview, Ahn Se-young said about expressing critical opinions about the association after winning the 2024 Paris Olympics, “I would have said it regardless of whether I won a gold medal at the Olympics or not,” but added, “Honestly, I did not expect such a big reaction to occur.” .

Immediately after the Paris Olympics last August, Ahn Se-young publicly raised issues about the association’s management and support of athletes, which she felt were unreasonable.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) conducted an audit of the association and announced the results in October.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism warned, “If unreasonable systems and practices are not improved, we will take measures such as designating a management organization and suspending budget support.”
