The sixth edition of the Olympic Gala of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee is here, an event that will reward the effort, trajectory and achievements obtained by our athletes throughout 2024. The contest will take place tomorrow from 8:00 p.m. in the Olympic Medalists hall of the COP, in Luque.
A new edition of the Olympic Gala organized by the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) will determine who will be the best athlete of 2024 considering that this year it was competed in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Been: Sofía García, athlete of 2023 at the Olympic Gala
Last year, in the Olympic Athlete category, the winner of the golden statuette was Sofía Garcíaof golf, who on that occasion won the historic gold, at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
For this edition the nominees by category are:
Olympic Athlete: Gabriela Narváez (judo), Alejandra Alonso (rowing), Javier Insfrán (rowing), Diego Gómez (soccer), Marcelo Fernández (soccer), Fabián Balbuena (soccer), César Almirón (athletics) and Fabrizio Zanotti (golf).
Olympic Team: Alejandra Alonso, Nicole Martinez, Dew Bordeaux and Adriana Sababria (Rowing W4x); Gabriel Yser and Matthias Ramirez (rowing); Michelle Valiente and Giuliana Poletti (beach volleyball); Francesco Marcantonio and Lujan Palaces (squash); Fiorella Gatti and Nicole Krach (squash).
