The Warmest Week in Bruges has started! At 4 p.m., presenters Fien Germijns, Sander Gillis, Kawtar Ehlalouch, Joris Brys and Maureen Vanherberghen, together with Niels Destadsbader and mayor Dirk De Fauw, kicked off a magical week. For seven days, the five presenters of Studio Brussels and MNM will make non-stop radio and television from Het Warmste Huis. This year everything revolves around the theme ‘loneliness’. The first hours were packed with fun activities, warm stories and beautiful request pictures. Portland provided a first musical highlight with the De Warmste Week song ‘Don’t stop believing’.
Ambassador Francisco Schuster went out to join activists in the country. Today he brought along helping hand Hakim Chatar. They made window drawings on the window of the director of De Bever primary school in Roeselare, solved an escape room (made by the plus class of VB De Zonnebloem in Hooglede) and played badminton with some patients from the OLV psychiatric hospital in Bruges.
Dara Oguntubu received many activists visiting Het Warmste Dorp and Vlambassador Zita Wauters sold flames and hats on an assembly line. For The Warmest Cookie Bake, Ketnet wrapper Thomas De Smet could today count on the help of expert Warmest Cookie Baker Sarah Mouhamou. Portland is currently giving the warmest of itself as the first artist on the roof of Het Warmste Huis. Later this evening it will be Meau and Pommelien Thijs’ turn. The closing event on ‘t Zand today is Back to the 90s & Nillies.
Every evening Niels Destadsbader looks back live from Het Warmste Huis on the most beautiful moments of De Warmste Week. You will also see Francisco in this daily report. Tonight they are in the company of Sarah Mouhamou, William Boeva and Kawtar Ehlalouch.
The Warmest Wednesday starts on VRT 1 and VRT MAX at 9:50 PM.
