ROSEMARY. Radim Kučera is no longer the football coach of MFK Ružomberok. The management of the club terminated cooperation with him on Wednesday, the reason being the unsatisfactory results in the previous rounds of the Nike League.
The fifty-year-old Czech lasted only a month on the bench of “Ruže”.
“Based on the decision of today’s meeting of the board of directors of the joint-stock company MFK Ružomberok, cooperation with the current coach of our A-team has been terminated,” informed the CEO of the Liptov club and the chairman of its board of directors, Ľubomír Golis.
“The reason was our unsatisfactory results in the last rounds of the Nike League. We agreed at today’s meeting that the team needs a different type of coach,” he added for TASR.
Radim Kučera’s mission from Ružomber was short-lived. He took over Liptákov on November 19, after arriving from the Czech second division team 1. SK Prostějov.
Ružomberok coached in four matches in the top competition, in which the team did not win a single point. After the fall, it was in 9th place in the table with 17 points, it has only three points more than the last Skalica.
“By the end of the calendar year, we would like to resolve the post of head coach. It is premature to say whether there will be any other changes in the implementation team,” added Golis. Ružomberok has the start of winter training scheduled for January 6, 2025.
