Experience Valby this weekend: Badminton, film and community

Badminton for the young

Friday d. 20 December 2024, young people can get a fun introduction to badminton in Valby Badminton Club’s Hall. The training is divided into two teams and focuses on developing children’s motor skills as well as the basic badminton technique.

The training changes between two times depending on the week, and is held at 17:00-17:45 or 17:45-18:30. Entrance is free, and registration can be done via Valby Badminton’s website.

Movie night in Valby Kino

On Friday evening, Valby Kino offers a unique film premiere with the showing of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. This film is the sequel to 2019’s The Lion King, with direction by Barry Jenkins and music by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The movie starts at 20:15, and there is an entrance fee of DKK 100. The film is suitable for all ages.

Community in the Timothy church

Saturday d. On December 21, Timotheus Church invites you to an AA meeting at 9:30. The meeting is open to anyone who wants to learn how to live without alcohol, and offers fellowship and support to those who want an alcohol-free lifestyle.

AA meetings are free and only require a desire to stop drinking.

Tumbles on the judo mat

Valby Judo Club invites young people to judo training on Saturday at 10:00, where the focus is on motor skills, coordination and play. The parents also participate in the training, which creates a fun and active time for the whole family.

Admission is free for the trial training and registration can be done online.
