Trinity Rodman’s relationship with father Dennis is next to non-existent.
She has no hopes that it will improve.

Trinity Rodman, 22, is a member of the American national team and the big club Washington Spirit. But off the court, she is surrounded by questions about her father, NBA icon Dennis Rodman.
Dennis became known for his hairstyles, style of clothing and lifestyle with a lot of partying.
He was an absent father. Trinity Rodman has previously explained that the relationship does not look like an ordinary relationship between a father and a daughter.
Now the 22-year-old says that she only talks to him for her own conscience.
– I answer the phone now for, like, my conscience… Like he needs to hear my voice before something happens… I don’t answer for my sake, she says in podcasten ”Call her daddy”.

“No one understood what happened”
In adulthood, she has met him sporadically. Once, their hug was caught on camera after the Washington Spirit advanced to the playoffs. Then Dennis embraced his daughter who fell into tears.
– No one understood what happened. I saw that my father was there and went over to him. He grabbed my head and I started bawling like it was a father-daughter thing, she says.
Trinity Rodman was there when dad Dennis’ jersey number was retired in Detroit in 2011.

Trinity Rodman always felt that Dennis liked to show her and the family off in front of the cameras, but behind them something else was going on.
– He had parties all the time… Invited random chicks. And he loves the spotlight, loves the cameras… Loves to bring his kids on stage and say, “Oh, these are my kids.”
Dennis Rodman has previously admitted that he has not been the best father.
– I wish I was a better father, he said in connection with being elected to the basketball hall of fame in 2019.
