Mikhail Likhachev’s team lost the second match of the training camp in Asuncion on penalties. The main and extra time ended with the score 4:4, and in the penalty shootout the South Americans were stronger – 4:3.
Egor Remizov scored a hat-trick for the Russians. Amadius Vinogradov scored one goal. Joao Rolon, Valentin Benitez, Carlos Carballo and Milzades Medina scored for the Paraguayans.
For the first time in its history, Russia lost to Paraguay, with nine victories in nine matches before this meeting.
The training camp takes place in Asuncion from December 11 to 24. The Russian team will play another match against the Paraguay team – on the night of December 21-22 at 2:00 Moscow time.
