Bucks win NBA Cup against Hartenstein’s OKC

(dpa). Isaiah Hartenstein lost the NBA Cup final with the Oklahoma City Thunder and missed his first major title. OKC lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 81:97 after a disappointing second half.

At halftime, Hartenstein’s team was only one point behind at 50:51; With 14 points, the 26-year-old was the best thrower on the field at this point along with Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks.

While Hartenstein only added two more points and his team had great difficulties after the break, the Greek Antetokounmpo ended the evening with 26 points, 19 rebounds and ten assists. He was the player with the highest points in the game and was voted the most valuable player.

»I am so proud of this group. We played team basketball. The job isn’t done yet, we still have to do a lot better,” said Antetokounmpo, referring to the regular season, in which the Bucks started with just two wins from ten games. The NBA introduced the competition to have relevant games early in the season.
