A22 presented his new version of Super League competition (one year after presenting the previous format), now called La Liga UNIFY. How are these 12 direct positions designated?

The first and second federation in that ranking classifies three teams (the first three in their league); The third and fourth federation enters two clubs and the fifth and sixth federation enters one team to complete a total of 12. However, the UNIFY League has not explained how this ‘Country Ranking’ will be done. UEFA has been with the European club ranking for years. If we extrapolate this UEFA federation coefficient ranking to the new competition: England and Italy would obtain 3 teams, compared to two from Spain and Germany. Meanwhile, France and Holland would have one position each. The two remaining places would come from the playoffs that would be played by the champion of each league from the 7th position in the ranking (Portugal) to the 55th (San Marino).

This system would be similar for the Gold League, Blue League and Union League. The only thing that in the In the second competition there would be eight direct places and in the Blue League, there would be 14 teams classified directly by sporting merit in their domestic leagues.

Differences with the Champions
Unlike the current Champions League, where up to 29 teams have a direct place in the league and the champions of 11 different leagues qualify directly: England, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Holland, Portugal, Belgium, Scotland, Austria and Ukraine . In The UNIFY LEAGUE would only have room for the champions of eight domestic leagues (the six best in ‘Country Ranking’) and the two places they get by winning the playoffs. Between the Star and Gold League, up to 20 teams would obtain a direct place at the end of the season for the following edition and nine more would qualify by passing playoffs (2 in the Star and 7 in the Gold).
With the format presented by A22, the two leagues with the best position in the ‘Country Ranking’ they would have eight safe places between las four different competitions although They could be expanded to 10 if their teams manage to get through the playoffs. A number that would decrease depending on how low you are in the ranking (3rd and 4th would opt for 9 clubs; 5th and 6th, 8 and 7 in the best of cases, and so on…).
