Holzminden district (red). On the last match day of the year there was only one Christmas present for MTSV Eschershausen in the badminton district class. Third place in the table was defended with the 5:3 win over VfL Grasdorf. The 3:5 defeat against SG 05 Ronnenberg didn’t change that. Alexander Mevers, playing at number one, won both singles. Among the women, only Franziska Tümmler was successful in the mixed doubles alongside Sascha Rehbein.
In the district league, GSV Holzminden slipped to second-to-last place in the table. Only Lea Borchert was able to win against league leaders Eintracht Hildesheim in the women’s singles. In the end it was 1:7. At least we managed a 4:4 draw against SG Leinetal. The three men Harald Kirsch, Oliver Reese and Lasse Klie won their singles. In addition, Harald Kirsch and Caroline Schütte won the mixed doubles. TV 87 Stadtoldendorf is still at the bottom of the table with no points after ten games. Only the women’s doubles Lena Becker/Kirsten Kleinwächter were able to prevail against SV Rot-Weiß Ahrbergen. All other seven games went to the opponent. There was a similar picture in the second game. Here, however, Lena Becker contributed the second point to the 2:6 against MTV-Nordstemmen.
Delligser SC played its third competitive game in a week, but remains last in the district class after defeats against TSV Marienhagen (1:7) and BC Bockenem (3:5).
