We will have to wait. The trial of the J associationTrégor udo club did not take place this Thursday, December 19 as initially planned. At the opening of the hearing at the Saint-Brieuc courtthe announcement was made of the postponement of the trial.
In June
The trial was postponed until June 5. The judges have scheduled a whole day to audition all the actors in this case.
In this file of embezzlement of a sports association in the city of Lannion which, according to people close to the case, amount to 250,000 euros, the four defense lawyers contest all the elements.
During the investigation, the investigators sealed the case, meaning that a file with evidence was closed and could only legally be opened at the hearing. This is the point that the four defense lawyers insisted on by asking the judge to allow them to have access to it beforehand. To do this, a special hearing must be convened. It will take place in March. It is this point which prompted the referral.
Breach of trust
On the merits of the case, the former presidents, members and a former teacher are accused of breach of trust between January 2015 and December 2020 for the teacher and a former president, and for concealment of misuse of corporate assets between January 2014 and December 2018 for the two other members of the association.
For their part, communities including the town of Lannion, the Côtes-d’Armor departmental council and the town of Trédrez-Locquémeau, defended by two lawyers, intend to enforce the law.
The mayor of Lannion was also due to go to the hearing this Thursday.
The judges preferred to take the time to analyze this complex case and devote an entire hearing to it next June.
