A Year of Growth and Success for the Gourin badminton Club
The gourin Badminton Club (BCG – 56) celebrated another successful year at its annual general meeting on Friday, December 13, 2024.President pascale Hénaff highlighted the club’s vibrant activity, particularly the well-attended youth tournament held at the municipal gymnasium on May 26th. This event drew approximately fifty young badminton enthusiasts from various clubs across the Morbihan region, showcasing the BCG’s growing influence in the local sporting community.
beyond the court, the BCG demonstrated its strong community engagement with a highly successful lottery held on december 1st. Building on this momentum,the club is already planning its next lottery for Sunday,June 8,2025,at the Tronjoly community hall.
The BCG is experiencing a surge in popularity, boasting nearly sixty members. This growth reflects the club’s commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for badminton enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.
Welcoming new Faces to the BCG Leadership
The BCG’s annual general meeting also marked a transition in leadership. Sophie Bothorel steps into the vice-president role, succeeding Annick Rebouldont. Mélanie Lavolé takes on the responsibilities of secretary, replacing Annie Sibéril who will continue to support the club as secretary adjoint. Jack Poudoulec assumes the position of treasurer adjoint, following in the footsteps of Guillaume Berny.
Pascale Hénaff continues to lead the BCG as president, while Laurent Hénaff remains the treasurer. The club is actively involved in the wider badminton community and will participate in the Morbihan departmental committee meeting on January 17, 2025.
