The Promesas Baloncesto Club is gearing up for a momentous occasion on Sunday,December 22nd. This date marks the culmination of their year-long 25th-anniversary celebrations with a grand generational basketball tournament.the Juan Sepúlveda Pavilion will come alive with the energy of 225 players, representing 19 teams, competing in both male and female categories. This exciting event, commencing at 9:00 am, will bring together former and current members of the club, showcasing the enduring legacy of Promesas Baloncesto.
Beyond the thrilling competition, the day will be filled with meaningful tributes and presentations. The club’s board of directors has planned a special recognition ceremony honoring the various leadership teams that have guided Promesas through its 25-year journey.
Adding to the festivities, the official unveiling of the club’s federated teams for the current season is scheduled for 4:45 pm. This will be a chance for fans to meet the new generation of athletes who will carry the Promesas banner forward.
“Our aim is to create a day of celebration for the entire Pozoalbense basketball community,” shares Juan Antonio Romero, the current club president. “We want to honor the legacy of the Pozoblanco Basketball Club, which preceded Promesas, and highlight the Municipal School, the bedrock that has nurtured countless young athletes over the years.”
This culminating event follows a year brimming with commemorative activities. From a specially composed anthem by Fran Vélez to a collectible sticker album featuring players from different teams, and commemorative apparel, the club has spared no effort in marking this milestone.
