## get Ready to Smash: The Méchants Moineaux Badminton Tournament Returns!
The Méchants Moineaux badminton tournament is back for its second year, promising another exciting day of competition and camaraderie at École secondaire Champagnat on November 2nd. Thanks to a generous grant of $2,390 from the La Tuque Agglomeration’s youth budget, organizers Édouard Arvisais, Daphné Arvisais, and Yan Blais are gearing up for another successful event. [[2]]
Last year’s tournament saw over 70 participants, and this year’s organizers are hoping to match that notable turnout. The tournament welcomes players of all skill levels, from seasoned veterans to eager beginners. Teams of three can compete in four categories: A, B, C, and Junior.
“The team format allows for a fun, inclusive experience where parents can even team up with their children,” explains Yan Blais. ”Categories A and B will feature feather shuttlecocks, providing a superior playing experience with enhanced shot quality.”
The tournament’s appeal extends beyond La Tuque, with participants traveling from neighboring cities like Shawinigan and Trois-Rivières last year. This event not only fosters a love for badminton but also serves as a valuable recruitment tool for the École secondaire Champagnat Vikings badminton team. [[1]]
