Raiders Secure Third Win Against Jaguars in Tight contest
Teh Las Vegas Raiders triumphed over the Jacksonville Jaguars in a thrilling matchup at Allegiant Stadium, securing a 19-14 victory. Running backs Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah spearheaded the Raiders’ offensive efforts, while the defense played a crucial role in limiting the Jaguars’ scoring opportunities.This win marks the Raiders’ third victory of the 2024 season.
The Jaguars, under the guidance of head coach Doug Pederson, struck first in the closing moments of the first quarter. Running back Tank Bigsby powered his way into the endzone for a touchdown, giving Jacksonville an early 7-0 lead.

The final quarter proved to be decisive. Ameer Abdullah’s touchdown run put the raiders back in front, 19-14. Despite a valiant effort, the Raiders were unable to convert the ensuing two-point conversion.
This hard-fought victory allowed the Raiders to improve their season record and welcomed back starting quarterback Aidan O’Connell from injury.Simultaneously occurring,the Jaguars,currently positioned for a high draft pick in 2025,continue to rebuild for the future.

Mike Holmgren: It all comes down to consistency.They need to find a way to consistently move the ball on offense, play solid defense, and avoid costly turnovers. And, of course, they need O’Connell to stay healthy and continue to improve.
