Young Taekwondo Stars Shine at the Aveyron Kids Games
The Paul Tort gymnasium in Millau was abuzz with energy as over 100 young Taekwondo enthusiasts, aged 4 to 12, gathered for the fourth annual Taekwondo Kids Games of Aveyron. Organized by the Taekwondo Sud Millau Sports Association (ASTSM), this event has become a highlight on the Aveyron taekwondo calendar.
Participants from various clubs across the department showcased their skills in a diverse range of disciplines. Classic events like poumsae (forms), no-touch combat, and high and long jumping kicks were complemented by exciting additions like foam saber duels, archery, max punching, and wrestling on mats and beams.
Each event was carefully designed to highlight specific physical attributes, fostering the growth of flexibility, relaxation, endurance, precision, concentration, power, strength, balance, and speed in these young athletes.The ASTSM expressed immense pride in the performance of their young competitors, especially those who excelled in their categories. “We extend our congratulations to all the child competitors from the Association Sportive Taekwondo Sonmudo Millau club for their outstanding achievements,” stated the ASTSM. “Special recognition goes to our club members who were crowned the best in their respective categories, receiving a trophy in addition to their well-deserved medals.”

The event saw exceptional performances from numerous young athletes. Notably:
VIDAL Lucas dominated the CADET male category, securing an notable nine gold medals out of nine events.
MARTY Léonie emerged as the top female CADETTE, earning four gold, three silver, and two bronze medals out of nine events.
PELLEGRINI Gianni excelled in the MINIME 2 male category, claiming four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals out of nine events.
ASTIER Elise shone in the MINIMES 2 female category, achieving four gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
LAVABRE Raphël dominated the BENJAMIN 1st male category, securing four gold, two silver, and two bronze medals out of nine events.
GUILLOT Alex showcased his prowess in the PUPILLES 2 male category, earning three gold and three silver medals out of seven events.
BORNE Miley excelled in the PUPILLES 2 female category, winning four gold, one silver, and one bronze medal out of seven events.
BECKER Sophie impressed in the PUPILLES 1 female category, securing four gold and three bronze medals out of seven events.
FERREIRA SOURISSE Agathe dominated the CHICKS female category, achieving a perfect score of four gold medals out of four events.
CASALS Soan showcased his skills in the CHICKS male category, earning three gold and one silver medal out of four events.
