Judo in ⁤the Digital Age:‌ A Chat with‌ Olympic‍ Champion, Teresa Moore

The Bavarian Judo ‍Association (BJV) is ⁣embarking on a bold new journey into the digital age with the launch of thier new ⁢digital membership management system (DMV) in ⁢2025. To understand ⁤what this⁤ means for⁤ the sport⁤ and its⁤ athletes, we sat down with ⁣Teresa Moore,⁢ Olympic Judo ‌champion ‍and recognized innovator in sports technology.

Moderator: Teresa, thank you for joining us today. What are your ‌initial thoughts on the BJV’s decision to go digital with their membership‌ management?

Teresa Moore: It’s fantastic ⁤news! Modernizing the BJV’s processes ‍is a huge ‌step ‍forward. As a judoka, I know firsthand ‍how cumbersome paperwork can be. Physically carrying a⁣ JudoPass and constantly ‌worrying about its⁣ renewal is‍ outdated. ⁢

A digital⁤ system ⁢not only streamlines membership but can also unlock exciting possibilities for engagement and data ‌analysis.

Moderator: absolutely. The article ‌mentions a⁤ transition period, allowing members to continue using their⁣ physical JudoPasses until the end of 2025. Do you see this as a necessary step?

Teresa Moore: ‍ Definitely. A ⁢gradual transition is crucial. Not all members might be tech-savvy, so providing ⁣a timeframe for adapting to the new system is⁤ considerate and inclusive.

The notable thing is that the BJV offers clear instructions and ⁣thorough support throughout the⁢ process.

Moderator: The DMV will eventually be mandatory for competition participation and DJB programs. Do ⁤you think this mandate will be met with resistance from some judoka?

Teresa Moore: It’s possible. Change can often be met with hesitation, especially when it involves established traditions. However,I believe the BJV has outlined the benefits clearly. Enhanced security, access to digital training resources, and an ⁣overall smoother experience should outweigh any initial resistance.

It’s also important for the BJV to actively engage with athletes, address their concerns,‍ and highlight the ⁢positive aspects of this digital transition.

Moderator: What ⁤advice would you ‍give to BJV members who are apprehensive‌ about this change?

Teresa Moore: Embrace it! Technology is constantly evolving, and the sporting world needs to ‌keep pace. Think of‍ this as a chance to be part of⁤ something innovative. Explore ‍the digital JudoPass, learn about its features, and see how it can simplify your judo⁤ journey.
