Lions Roar into Semi-Finals: Catch the Action Live in Yoru Community
Football fever is gripping Singapore as the Lions have secured their spot in the ASEAN Football Championship semi-finals. The highly anticipated first-leg match against Vietnam will take place at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Thursday, January 26th, igniting excitement among fans nationwide.
Demand for tickets has been overwhelming, with eager supporters queuing up at the Jalan Besar Stadium on January 22nd, the day tickets went on sale. The enthusiasm was palpable, but sadly, tickets sold out within hours, leaving many disappointed.
Recognizing the fervent support for the national team, the people’s Association has stepped in to offer a solution.They announced on January 24th that live broadcasts of both semi-final matches will be available at eleven community clubs across the island.
These community viewing hubs will allow fans to experiance the thrill of the game together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared passion. The participating clubs include Our Tampines Hub, Heartbeat@bedok, Bangkok One Punggol, Wisma Geylang Serai, Kaki Bukit Community Club, Kit fong Community Club, Yu chuan Community Club, White Bridge Community Club, Latin Mas Community Club, Tampines West Community Club, and Wanguo Community Club.
Adding to the excitement, the Home Team Readiness Staff Association has also announced live screenings of the matches at their Balestier, Cady, and Bedok Reservoir clubs. These screenings are open to the public, and attendees can enjoy complimentary snacks. Members of the association will also benefit from free parking.
