As the holiday season approaches, the Clube do Remo’s management team remains focused on assembling a formidable squad for the 2025 season. In a move to further strengthen their roster, the blue and white club has announced the signing of seasoned midfielder pedro Castro, aged 31.
Castro, a Rio de Janeiro native, brings a wealth of experience to Belém, having played for a variety of prominent clubs throughout his career.His recent stint saw him competing in Série B with Avaí. His notable resume includes stints with renowned teams such as Santos, Espanyol (Spain), Paraná, Santa Cruz, Botafogo-PB, Tombense, Sport, botafogo, Cruzeiro, Dibba Al Fujairah (UAE), and Khorfakkan (UAE).
Expressing his enthusiasm for this new chapter, Castro stated, “I’m thrilled about this exciting challenge in my career and the chance to represent the ‘King of the Amazon,’ a club steeped in tradition and boasting a passionate fan base.”
Following the holiday season, Castro will arrive in Belém to undergo medical examinations and join his new teammates. He is set to contribute his skills to the Leão’s campaign in the Campeonato Paraense, Copa Verde, Copa do Brasil, and the highly competitive Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.
