Judo Villefranche Celebrates a Thriving Season with Festive gathering
Judo Villefranche is wrapping up a accomplished start to the season with a celebratory spirit. The club welcomed renowned French champions Margaux Pinot and alpha Djalo, along with esteemed Japanese judo experts, earlier this fall. This period also saw the club host its annual gala on November 11th, drawing over 200 young judokas to the mats.
To commemorate this successful quarter, which has seen a surge in membership, especially among younger athletes, Judo Villefranche organized a special mass training session on Saturday morning. Judokas of all ages, including participants from the preceding taiso class, gathered on the tatami at the robert Fabre gymnasium dojo for a dynamic and enriching training experience. The event fostered a strong sense of community and shared passion for judo.
Following the training session, the club continued the festivities with a traditional Yule log, generously provided by Judo Villefranche, enjoyed by all the participants.
Looking Ahead: New Year, New Events
Judo and taiso classes will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025. The club is already gearing up for its highly anticipated annual quine,scheduled for Sunday,January 12th at 3:00 PM in the La Madeleine village hall in Villefranche. This year’s quine promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring vouchers redeemable at local Villefranche businesses, totaling over €2,500 in value. A especially enticing super quine will add an extra layer of excitement to the event.
