Judo Creusot: A Year of triumph and Teamwork
2024 has been a remarkable year for Judo Creusot, marked by a series of victories, dedicated training, and a strong sense of community. Young judokas from the club consistently demonstrated their skills and commitment, achieving notable results in various competitions and events.The year kicked off with a prosperous interclub tournament in Charlieu,where Creusot’s judokas faced tough opponents and showcased their talent,earning numerous medals. this early success set the tone for a year filled with achievements.Further honing their skills, the judokas participated in intensive training sessions led by Christophe Pradel in Dijon. These sessions, organized by the Judo 21 and Judo 71 Committees, focused on refining techniques and preparing the athletes for upcoming challenges.The Bourgogne Franche Comté FFSports Adaptés championship provided an opportunity for adapted judokas to shine. Their dedication and hard work paid off, securing them spots in the FFSA inter-regions.Concurrently, a Creusotin representative competed in the Bourgogne Franche Comté Jujitsu Combat Championship, aiming for a place in the French Jujitsu Combat Championship.
The Minimes Alliance Grésivaudan tournament saw the youngest members of the club rise to the occasion,competing at a high level. While not all reached the podium, their participation was invaluable, demonstrating the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
Beyond individual achievements, Judo Creusot fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork. the “Tous au Dojo” course brought together forty young judokas aged 6 to 10 for a day of fun and learning. This event not only promoted judo but also raised funds for the Telethon association, highlighting the club’s commitment to social duty.
A special training session on December 24th further emphasized the club’s spirit of unity. Older judokas displayed remarkable dedication and motivation,inspiring their coaches,Johnny Potet and Arthur Repiquet. the coaches, proud of their students’ progress, stressed the importance of teamwork and perseverance in achieving goals.
Looking ahead, Judo Creusot is poised for continued success. With new projects already underway for 2025, the club remains dedicated to training young champions while promoting judo as a sport accessible to all.
