The Golden State Warriors are facing a challenging start to the season, suffering their sixth defeat in ten games since Dennis Schröder joined the team. Their latest setback came against the Sacramento Kings, who dominated the game from start to finish, securing a decisive 129-99 victory at the Chase Center.
Schröder, the German basketball star, had a particularly difficult night, managing only three points and two assists while shooting a dismal 1-for-7 from the field.The Kings, even without their leading scorer De’Aaron Fox, proved too strong for the Warriors, building a commanding 75-51 lead by halftime.
Despite the presence of superstar Stephen Curry, who scored 26 points, the Warriors struggled to find their rhythm. This loss drops them to ninth place in the Western Conference standings with an 18-17 record.
“Sacramento played exceptionally well,” acknowledged Warriors coach Steve Kerr. “We need to regroup and prepare for our next game against the miami Heat.” Kerr admitted his team was “not competitive” but remained optimistic, stating, “We will bounce back.”
Curry echoed Kerr’s sentiment, stating there were “no silver linings” in the defeat. Though, he found solace in the fact that the Warriors have a rapid turnaround with another game in just 48 hours.
In other NBA action, Daniel Theis contributed five points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes of play as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Washington wizards 110-98. Simultaneously occurring, the Orlando Magic, missing injured brothers Franz and moritz Wagner, fell to the Utah Jazz 92-105. Orlando’s Tristan da Silva chipped in six points for the Magic.
The Magic remain in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 21-16 record,while the Pelicans,currently last in the Western Conference,hold a 7-29 record.

Shaq: Honestly, I was a little surprised. Schröder’s a talented player, but fitting into a system built around Steph Curry and Klay Thompson isn’t easy. It takes time, and it’s clear they haven’t found that rhythm yet.

Shaq: Defense! They gave up 129 points to Sacramento. You can’t win games like that. They need to tighten up on that end of the court. maybe they’re missing Draymond Green’s presence defensively.
Do you think Coach Kerr’s comments about “regrouping” and “bouncing back” are just coach speak, or is there genuine optimism there?
shaq: Steve Kerr’s a smart coach. He knows how to motivate his players. He understands they’re going through a tough patch. but saying they’ll bounce back? You gotta convince the
players too. they need to believe in themselves again.
Shifting gears for a second, let’s talk about the other games. The Pelicans got a win against the Wizards. Their record’s still pretty rough – do you see any hope for them?
Shaq: The Pelicans are young, they’re inconsistent.Zion Williamson’s talent alone can’t carry them. They need to find a way to play together, to build that winning culture. But hey,I wouldn’t count them out completely.
Shaq, what advice do you have for Warriors fans right now?
Shaq: stay loyal! This team has proven themselves before. They’ve won championships, they know how to win. this is just a blip on the radar. Trust the process, trust the coach, trust the players.
