Kristaps: It’s an absolute dream for basketball fans in Latvia.
These are some of the most talented athletes in the world, players we usually only get to watch on TV. Seeing them compete live, against each other, will be an unforgettable experience.
Host: Certainly. In your opinion, who do you think will be the biggest challenge for Latvia in the tournament?
Kristaps: Honestly, it’s hard to single one team out. [France], with Wembanyama and Gobert is incredibly strong.slovenia with Dončić is always a threat, and Serbia with Jokić is a force to be reckoned with. Every game will be a battle.
But I think our Latvian team is capable of causing some upsets.We have a lot of heart and talent!

Absolutely.Speaking of talent, Latvia is also facing a formidable opponent in the World Cup qualifier against England. What are your thoughts on that match?
Kristaps: That’s going to be another titanic clash! England is a very good team, but so are we.
We’re playing at home, so we’ll have the crowd behind us. I think it’s a game we can win, and a win would be crucial for our qualification hopes.
