The action kicks off on April 11th with delegation accreditations and the competition draw. Over the following two days, April 12th and 13th, 14 titles will be contested, showcasing the best junior judo talent in Europe. The Eju Training Camp will run for three days, featuring five intensive training sessions designed to elevate participants’ skills.
This format, endorsed by the European Judo Union, ensures the Tarcento Trophy remains a vital part of the official European and world judo circuit.
A Friulian Champion Leads the Way
asya tavano, a rising star from the Friuli region, will serve as the event’s ambassador. Tavano, who honed her skills at the Sport Team Udine under Luigi Girardi’s guidance and now represents the Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Azzurre, boasts an notable track record. She secured victory in the 2022 edition of the Tarcento Trophy and achieved a commendable second-place finish in 2021.
Tavano made history as the first Friulian athlete, alongside Trieste’s Veronica Toniolo, to compete in the Olympics.At the 2020 Tokyo Games, she achieved a remarkable 5th place in the team competition and bravely faced the challenges of the individual women’s competition.

The Tarcento Trophy’s reputation for excellence has earned it a coveted distinction: selection by the EJU Arbitration Commission to host expert referees.
