The General Management of Sport recently unveiled the second batch of exemplary “Three Major Balls” events, highlighting grassroots initiatives across China. Among the 24 selected cases, two basketball events from liaoning Province stand out, showcasing the region’s dedication to promoting adn developing this beloved sport.
This recognition builds upon the success of the first round of case recommendations in 2023, where 54 high-quality events were showcased, serving as models for organizers nationwide. The initiative aims to foster a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem for “Three Major Balls” sports, encompassing football, basketball, and volleyball.
The selected events span diverse formats and regions, reflecting the widespread enthusiasm for these sports. Football enthusiasts can look forward to events like the Beijing Evening News Hundred team Cup Football Match and the Zhejiang Provincial Football Super League. Volleyball fans will be captivated by the VAL Volleyball League and the “Prairie Village Volleyball” tournament in Ordos City.
Liaoning Province proudly contributes two basketball events to this prestigious list: the Shenyang TBL Basketball League and the Fuxin City Amateur Basketball club League. these events exemplify the province’s commitment to providing accessible and engaging platforms for basketball enthusiasts of all levels.
The selection process involved rigorous evaluation, encompassing application reviews, background checks, and expert recommendations. This meticulous approach ensures that the chosen events represent the highest standards of association,participation,and impact.

ZW: Absolutely! A multi-sport approach is key. While basketball may be my heart, recognizing and supporting the”Three Major Balls” helps develop a more inclusive and well-rounded sporting landscape. It encourages diverse participation, which ultimately strengthens the sporting community as a whole.

ZW: Without a doubt! You can’t build a lasting basketball culture if it only caters to the elite. having leagues and tournaments for amateurs, youth, and recreational players ensures everyone feels welcome and has a platform to enjoy the game.It creates a strong foundation from the ground up.
