Ricky Williams: Thanks for having me. It’s important we talk about this.Violence like this is never acceptable, especially when it involves kids.

Moderator: You’re speaking from personal experience, Ricky. You grew up in a tough neighborhood but found refuge in boxing.
Ricky Williams: Boxing taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work. It gave me a sense of purpose and belonging. I know not every kid is going to be a boxer, but the principle is the same: we need to offer them alternatives, show them there’s more to life than violence.

Ricky Williams: Punishment has its place, but it’s only a small part of the solution.We also need to understand the why behind their actions.Are they struggling with poverty, lack of opportunity, or childhood trauma?
