“I felt surprisingly strong throughout the race,” he recalls. “Riding alongside renowned sprinters like Pedersen and Philipsen was an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, multiple punctures, including one with 15 kilometers remaining, cost me a potential top-ten finish. Still, crossing the line 54th, in a group with Demare and Berg, was a satisfying accomplishment.”

“The jump to the professional level is noticeable,” he observes. “The racing calendar is more demanding, with early-season races carrying significant weight. Every competition matters.”
