Under the guidance of coach Facundo Sava, the team has bolstered its ranks with two key additions during the transfer window: Damian Martinez and Lisandro Cabrera.With the tournament’s friendly format permitting up to seven substitutions per team, fans can anticipate seeing these new players in action.
The Río de la Plata Series, running until Friday, january 24th, boasts a diverse lineup. Eleven Argentine and Uruguayan teams will compete, alongside representatives from Chile, Paraguay, and Ecuador, promising a thrilling display of south American football.

Pablo: Well, they’ve definitely made some smart moves in the transfer window. Bringing in Damian martinez and Lisandro Cabrera adds some serious firepower and young talent. Coach Sava is a shrewd tactician, and I know he’ll have the team prepared.
Absolutely. And with the new format allowing for seven substitutions, it seems like we’ll get to see a lot of these new additions in action.
Pablo: Exactly.It’s a great opportunity for the younger players to prove themselves and for Sava to experiment with diffrent combinations. The Río de la Plata Series is a fantastic platform for showcasing talent.
it certainly is. This year’s tournament is shaping up to be incredibly competitive, with teams from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, and Ecuador all vying for the title. Any predictions on who the biggest challengers to Atlético Tucumán will be?
Pablo: You can never underestimate the Uruguayan teams, they always bring their A-game. Look out for Peñarol and Nacional, they’re always a threat.And from Argentina, I wouldn’t count out River Plate or Boca Juniors, even though they’re not participating this year. And don’t overlook the Chilean and Paraguayan teams either – they’ve been making steady progress in South American football.
