A New⁢ Sporting Hub Rises ⁣in Crotone’s 300 Accommodation District

Crotone is set to welcome a state-of-the-art indoor multipurpose facility, marking a significant step in the city’s commitment to athletic advancement. Councilor for Pnnr and Sports Facilities, Luca Bossi, announced the municipal council’s approval of the project, which ⁤will transform the 300⁤ accommodation district into⁤ a true “Citadel of Sport.”

This €1.5 million project, funded through the Pnrr, will provide a dedicated space for‍ popular sports like gymnastics and Fijlkam disciplines (judo, karate, and martial arts), offering these athletes a shared training ground for⁢ the first time.the new facility complements existing sports infrastructure ​in the​ area, including the municipal olympic swimming ⁤pool, the soon-to-be-renamed Dodò Gabriele sector B, the versatile 11-a-side football​ field, and the ⁣upcoming geodesic dome.

Designed with sustainability⁢ in mind, the structure will boast ⁢low energy consumption and prioritize environmental considerations.emphasis ‌has⁣ been placed on creating a comfortable climate for athletes while‌ adhering to stringent safety ⁢standards. Aesthetically, the building will be visually⁣ appealing both inside‍ and out, utilizing materials that‍ blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment.

Located between via Gioacchino da Fiore and via Paolo borsellino, the facility will encompass​ approximately 3,200 square meters. ⁢

the core of the structure will be a spacious ⁢440‌ m2 gymnasium, equipped with specialized areas for‍ parallel bars, rings, beams, vaulting, and free body training.

In addition to the gym, the facility ⁢will feature:

Changing rooms: Accessible from the exterior and connected to the training area.
Tool warehouse: Directly connected to the training area for easy access.
* Technical room: Housing ⁤the​ boiler and solar thermal system.

Further enhancing its sustainability,the building will ‍be fitted with a photovoltaic system ⁤and an illuminated outdoor parking​ area.
